About GrantHub Ireland
GrantHub Ireland is a done-for-you Housing Adaptation Grant application service for Irish families. We are not an installer. We do not sell or fit stairlifts, lifts or bathrooms ourselves. Our job is to take the paperwork burden off families so they can claim the grant funding they're entitled to without giving up halfway through the process.
How we work
- You use our free eligibility checker to see what % of cost you'd qualify for under the Housing Adaptation Grant.
- If you want to proceed, we email you a welcome pack within 3 hours (Mon–Fri, 9am–6pm) explaining exactly what we'll do, what's needed from you, and how to pay the €169 flat fee.
- Once payment is confirmed, you upload your supporting documents securely. We review and flag anything missing.
- We coordinate the OT report, source the three required installer quotes from vetted partners, and complete the council application.
- We send you a finished application pack ready to submit. You file with your council. The council reviews and issues a decision letter.
- The works are scheduled with the chosen installer. You pay the difference between the approved cost and the grant.
What it costs
€169 flat fee per application. One price for any grant application — Housing Adaptation Grant or Mobility Aids Grant. No tiered pricing, no hourly billing, no add-ons.
The €169 covers the entire journey: eligibility verification, document review, OT report coordination, sourcing the three required installer quotes from vetted partners, completion of the council application form, and a finished pack ready for you to submit to your local authority.
How payment works: you submit your details through the contact form. Within 3 hours (Mon–Fri, 9am–6pm) we email you a welcome pack laying out exactly what we'll do, what we need from you, and a secure payment link. You only pay once you've read the pack and decide you want us to proceed. If at any stage we conclude together that the application isn't worth pursuing, there is no fee.
Refund policy: Under Irish and EU consumer law you have a 14-day cooling-off right on distance-sold services. If you change your mind within 14 days of payment and we have not yet completed the application pack, we will refund in full. If work is partially completed, a partial refund applies for the unfinished portion.
How we vet installers
Every installer in our network is independently verified for:
- Tax clearance (required for grant-eligible work)
- Public liability insurance (€2.6m+ minimum)
- Trade association membership (where applicable)
- Operating history and customer reviews on independent platforms
- Willingness to provide grant-compliant itemised quotes within agreed timeframes
How we share your data
To prepare a Housing Adaptation Grant application we need to source three written quotes from approved installers. With your consent, we share the following with our installer partners for the sole purpose of generating those quotes:
- Your name and contact details
- Your county / area and the type of works needed
- Property access notes relevant to the survey
We do not share your income details, medical information, or anything beyond what's strictly needed to produce a quote. We do not sell or rent your data to third parties. Each installer is bound by a Data Processing Agreement that prohibits onward sharing.
You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing us — we will instruct installers to delete your record and stop contacting you.
Privacy policy
Last updated: 8 May 2026. This privacy policy is provided as a working version while we finalise a solicitor-reviewed edition. If anything below is unclear, email us at hello@thegranthub.ie.
1. Who we are (data controller)
GrantHub Ireland (operating from the Republic of Ireland) is the data controller for personal data collected through this site and through our application service. Contact: hello@thegranthub.ie.
2. What data we collect and why
Through the website contact form we collect: your name, email address, phone number, county / area, the type of works you're considering, household income bracket, property ownership status, and whether anyone in the household is aged 66 or over. We collect this data on the lawful basis of your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), given when you submit the form. We use it solely to assess your likely grant eligibility and contact you about the application service.
If you proceed with the service, we additionally collect: photo identification, proof of property ownership (LPT receipt or Folio), proof of income (P60 / pension statements / Statement of Liability), tax clearance certificate, GP medical evidence, and Occupational Therapist correspondence. Some of this constitutes special category data under Article 9 GDPR (specifically, health data). We process special category data on the lawful basis of your explicit consent (Article 9(2)(a) GDPR) for the substantial public interest of grant administration.
3. Who we share data with
To produce three required installer quotes for your application, we share with vetted installer partners: your name, contact details, county / area, and the type of works needed (and access notes relevant to a survey visit). We do not share your income details, medical information, or anything else with installers without further explicit consent. To submit your application, you (or we on your behalf) share the assembled pack with your local authority. We do not sell or rent your data to third parties. Each installer is bound by a Data Processing Agreement that prohibits onward sharing.
4. Retention
We retain client application files for 24 months after the local authority issues a decision letter, in case of audit, council follow-up queries, or grant-payment delays. After 24 months, we securely delete your file. Contact-form submissions that don't progress to engagement are deleted within 6 months. You can request earlier deletion at any time (see Your Rights below).
5. Your rights under GDPR
You have the right to: access your data, correct it, ask us to delete it, restrict how we process it, object to processing, withdraw consent at any time, and request portability of the data you've provided. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@thegranthub.ie. We will respond within one month.
6. Cookies and analytics
This website uses strictly necessary cookies for the form (anti-spam) and optionally minimal analytics cookies. Where any non-strictly-necessary cookies are in use, we ask for your consent before they are set.
7. Complaints
If you have any concern about how we handle your data, contact us first and we will work to resolve it. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission (Ireland) at dataprotection.ie or 21 Fitzwilliam Square South, Dublin 2, D02 RD28.
