About GrantHub Ireland
GrantHub Ireland is an independent Irish website that explains, in plain English, the grants and supports people in the Republic of Ireland can claim for their homes, their health and their families. We started with the Housing Adaptation Grant and stairlifts, because the paperwork puts so many people off, and we now cover more than 30 schemes.
We are not a government body, a council or an installer. We do not decide who gets a grant, we do not pay grants out, and we never take a cut of any grant you receive.
In short: the guides, the eligibility checker, the grant reports and answers by email are free. The only thing we charge for is an optional €49.99 application kit, paid through a secure Stripe checkout page.

What we charge for
If you would rather not face the paperwork alone, we offer two optional kits, each a one-off €49.99 including VAT:
- The home grants kit for the Housing Adaptation Grant, the Mobility Aids Grant and Housing Aid for Older People.
- The Vacant Property Refurbishment Grant kit, which includes your official application form filled in.
After paying you answer a short questionnaire. We prepare your documents, a person checks every kit before it is sent, and it is emailed to you within one working day. You send the application to your council yourself. A kit makes the application easier to get right; it does not guarantee approval, because only the council decides.
Installer quotes
We do not sell or fit stairlifts, lifts or bathrooms. On some pages you can ask for quotes using a short quote request form. If you send one, we pass your name, contact details, county and the type of work to registered installers covering your county so they can contact you. You are under no obligation, and the choice of installer is always yours. If you do not send that form, your details are never passed to an installer. The grant kits never pass your details to installers.

1. Who we are
GrantHub Ireland, operating in the Republic of Ireland (VAT number IE7095088N), is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. Contact: hello@thegranthub.ie.
2. What we collect and why
- Grant reports and the grant finder: your email address and the answers you entered, so we can email your report. If you tick the box, we also add you to our newsletter.
- The contact form: your name, email, phone, county and the details you choose to give about your situation, so we can reply.
- Quote request forms: your name, phone, email, county and the type of work, shared with installers as described above.
- Grant kits: your email and name from the payment page, and your answers to the kit questionnaire. Depending on the kit these can include your address, date of birth, council, property details, an income band and, for home grants, information about mobility or health needs. Health information is special category data; we only use it with your explicit consent, to prepare your kit.
- Emails you send us: whatever you include, so we can answer.
We do not ask for your PPS number, bank details, exact income or copies of documents. Our lawful bases are your consent, and for kits, carrying out the service you have paid for.
3. Who processes data for us
- Netlify hosts this website and receives form submissions.
- Brevo sends our emails and the newsletter.
- Stripe takes kit payments. Your card details go to Stripe, not to us.
- Google provides advertising measurement on this site, only if you accept cookies.
- Anthropic provides AI tools we use to help draft kit documents. A person checks every kit before it is sent.
- Registered installers in your county, only if you send a quote request form.
Some of these companies are based outside the European Economic Area. Where that applies, they use safeguards approved under GDPR, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. We never sell or rent your data.
4. How long we keep it
Enquiries and quote requests are deleted within 12 months. Kit questionnaires and the documents we prepared are kept for 24 months after delivery, in case you need them again for your council. Payment records are kept for 6 years, as Irish tax law requires. Newsletter subscribers stay on the list until they unsubscribe. You can ask us to delete your data sooner at any time.
5. Your rights
You have the right to access your data, correct it, have it deleted, restrict or object to how we use it, withdraw consent at any time, and receive a copy of the data you gave us. Email hello@thegranthub.ie and we will respond within one month.
6. Cookies
We use strictly necessary storage to make the site work, such as remembering your cookie choice. Google advertising cookies are only set if you choose "Accept all" on the cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time with the "Cookie preferences" link at the bottom of every page.
7. Complaints
If you have a concern about how we handle your data, please contact us first and we will do our best to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie, 21 Fitzwilliam Square South, Dublin 2, D02 RD28.
