Wexford, starting this week
Week 1: book a private OT and see the GP.
Week 3: OT report arrives. Ask for three quotes.
Week 5: post the application to Wexford County Council.
Weeks 10 to 14: decision letter, usually.
SampleQuote request: straight stairlift
We are applying to the council for a Mobility Aids Grant and need a written, itemised quote for a straight stairlift, including fitting, VAT and the warranty.
The council compares quotes like for like, so please price exactly this spec.
SampleFive things to check before the OT leaves
1. Does the report name the exact adaptation?
2. Does it say which difficulty it solves?
3. Does it say why cheaper options will not work?

Our promise
We cannot promise that a council will approve a grant. That decision is theirs, and it depends on their funding. We promise your application goes in complete, on time and with nothing left vague.
Questions people ask before buying
What if I'm not eligible?
You find out before you pay. The free plan step tells you straight if the grants do not fit, for example if the work has already started or the income is over the limit, and you pay nothing.
My council has paused applications. Should I still buy?
Usually not yet. A few councils are only taking Priority 1 cases. The plan step checks your council and tells you if it is worth waiting.
Do I still send it in myself?
Yes. The application has to come from you, so you sign it and post it. We prepare everything so that part takes minutes.
What happens after I pay?
You finish a few more questions for the form, about five minutes, with the answers you already gave filled in. A person checks your kit and emails it to you within one working day.
Is my information safe?
We never ask for your PPS number, your exact income, bank details or any documents. Those few boxes come to you blank, with a page showing exactly what to write in each one.
What if the kit is not right for me?
Tell us within 14 days of getting your kit and we refund the €49.99 in full. Just reply to the email your kit came in.
Can I ask a question first?
Yes. Email hello@thegranthub.ie and a person replies, usually the same working day. It costs nothing.
