Would you rather we did the application for you?
The Irish home grant process is genuinely hard work. A council form that runs to many pages, an occupational therapist report, three written quotes, proof of income, proof of ownership, and one rule that voids the whole thing if you get it wrong. Plenty of families give up halfway through and pay for everything themselves.
You do not have to. Everything on GrantHub is free: the grant finder, the eligibility check, the calculator, the guides, and asking us questions by email. Most people do the application themselves with those and get on fine.
These two options are only for people who would rather hand the paperwork over.
Would you rather we did it for you?
Some people would sooner hand the paperwork over than wrestle with it. If that is you, pick an option and send us the request. Nothing is paid now.

Nothing is paid now. We reply by email, usually the same day, and you see exactly what you are getting before you decide anything.
We cannot promise any council will approve a grant. What we promise is that your application is done properly and on time.
Option 1. We fill in your form, 29.99 euro one-off
You tell us about your situation. We complete the grant application form for you, ready to sign and send. We also send you a list of survey companies to ring and a list of private occupational therapists to call, so the two slowest parts of the process start straight away.
- Your application form, completed properly and on time
- A list of survey companies for your county
- A list of private occupational therapists for your county
Option 2. We do the whole thing, 149 euro one-off
The full service. We arrange the site survey, organise the occupational therapist visit, and prepare and submit the complete application. You sign it, we handle the rest. The application always goes in your name, the council needs it that way, and the decision letter comes to you.
- Site survey arranged for you
- OT visit organised for you
- The three required quotes sourced from installers in your county
- The full application prepared and submitted, done properly and on time
Which grants this covers
The three council home grants. Stairlifts, accessible bathrooms, ramps and platform lifts are funded through these.
- Housing Adaptation Grant, up to €40,000 for bigger adaptations
- Mobility Aids Grant, up to €8,000 for simpler works like a stairlift or grab rails
- Housing Aid for Older People, up to €10,700 for essential repairs for people 66 and over
How it works
- Email us using either button above, or just write to granthubireland@gmail.com.
- We reply the same day where we can, and take the details by email.
- You see exactly what you are getting before you pay anything.
- We do the work. You sign and file the finished application, and the council writes to you with the decision.
Common questions
Is the rest of the site still free?
Yes, completely. The finder, the checker, the calculator, the guides and asking us questions all cost nothing, and that does not change. These options exist only for people who want the work taken off their hands.
Do I pay before I see anything?
No. We take your details, tell you exactly what we will do, and you pay when you are happy to go ahead.
Can you guarantee the grant is approved?
No, and nobody can. The council makes the decision. What we promise is an application done properly, completely, and on time, which is where most applications fall down.
Do you cover Northern Ireland?
No. We cover the Republic of Ireland only, all 26 counties. In Northern Ireland the equivalent is the Disabled Facilities Grant through the NI Housing Executive.
Do you sell stairlifts or bathrooms?
No. We are not an installer and we take nothing from installers. We help you get the grant, that is the whole job.
