What Wayflyer offers
Wayflyer was founded in 2019 and has its headquarters in Dublin. It says it has advanced over €6 billion to more than 7,000 businesses. It began with online shops and widened to other small businesses in 2025.
| Product | How you repay | Typical length |
|---|---|---|
| Cash advance | A percentage of your sales, so the payment rises and falls with trade | 3 to 9 months expected, with no fixed end date |
| Term loan | Fixed amounts on a set schedule | 3 to 9 months |
| Rolling financing | Repeat access to either product, up to a limit approved in advance | A 12-month contract |
Repayments are taken by SEPA direct debit. They can be daily, weekly, every two weeks or monthly, depending on the offer.

Which lenders fit your business?

What it costs
Wayflyer charges one fixed fee, agreed before you accept. Its help centre says the fee is typically 5% to 10% of the amount advanced. It depends on your finances, your trading history and how Wayflyer rates the risk.
At a 6% fee, an advance of €100,000 costs €6,000 and you repay €106,000.
Wayflyer says it charges no application, origination, documentation, late payment or early repayment fees.
- The fee is not an interest rate. A fixed fee on money repaid within a few months works out dearer than the same percentage charged as yearly interest.
- Repaying early saves nothing. Wayflyer says there is no charge for early repayment, but "the total amount owed remains the same".
Who can apply
Wayflyer's help centre sets these rules:
- Type of business. You sell physical products online, or you are a retail business such as a restaurant or dental practice, a software business, or a service provider.
- Sales. Average revenue of at least €10,000 a month for the last 6 months.
- Time trading. At least 6 months if you sell physical goods or software. At least 2 years for retail and service businesses.
- Incorporation. The business must be incorporated in a country Wayflyer supports. Ireland is one of 11.
- Financial assessment. Wayflyer looks at cash flow, current and forecast revenue, marketing spend and the overall health of the company.
Check that the product you want is open in Ireland. Wayflyer's help centre and Irish home page both list Ireland. But several product pages on its Irish site give eligibility as "Based in the US, UK or Australia", and the help centre warns that not all funding is available in every country.
Who cannot apply
- Start-ups. Wayflyer says it does not provide funding to start a new business.
- Dropshippers. It only funds online sellers that hold their own stock.
- Businesses with revenue under €10,000 a month.
- Sole traders, as far as its rules show. The rules refer to the country the business is incorporated in, and verification asks for a company registration number and a company formation document.
A new business can look at the State's own lender for small firms, which does take start-ups. A sole trader thinking about a company can read about the costs and duties that come with setting up a limited company.
What you have to send
There are no long forms. You connect your data:
For larger amounts it may ask for financial accounts. It does not ask for a business plan. Wayflyer says it runs a soft credit check, which does not affect your credit score.
How to apply and how long it takes
- Create an account at app.wayflyer.com with your business email.

- Connect your sales, banking and other platforms, then submit.
- Wayflyer's underwriting team reviews the application, typically within 24 hours.

- Once you sign, the money reaches your bank account within 1 to 3 business days.

What to know before you sign
- No personal guarantee. Wayflyer says it funds the business, not the person. The cash advance is unsecured. On a term loan, security is optional and can lower the cost.
- A final date. Some European agreements include a longstop date, the latest date by which the full amount must be collected. If slow sales mean you will not have repaid by then, Wayflyer says to contact it immediately.
- A second advance. If you take more funding while still repaying, the two repayment rates can be added together. Wayflyer calls this stacking.
- Regulation. Two Wayflyer companies are on the Central Bank's register as Schedule 2 firms. That is a registration for anti-money-laundering purposes.

Common questions
Can an Irish business apply to Wayflyer?

Do I have to give a personal guarantee?
No. Wayflyer says it does not ask for personal guarantees and does not take a share of the business.

No. Wayflyer charges no early repayment fee, but the fixed fee was agreed at the start, and it says the total amount owed remains the same.
